The Council of Europe Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) is currently reviewing the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings in the second cycle of evaluation. In fall of 2017, a questionnaire from GRETA was sent to the Federal Government, which the government answered in a report.
KOK has prepared and submitted its own report to GRETA. It is now available in a German version and in an English version.
In the first round of evaluations in 2014, KOK submitted a NGO report to GRETA and organized a Round Table for NGOs to exchange views with representatives of GRETA and representatives of NGOs.
In its recommendations for the first report of Germany, GRETA has requested the Federal Government to improve the identification of trafficked persons, to provide adequate support to all concerned, to develop an overall national anti-trafficking strategy covering all forms and persons affected by trafficking and paying particular attention to those under age.
