Myria, the Belgian Federal Migration Centre, publishes its annual report on 'Trafficking and smuggling of human beings: Beggars in the hands of traffickers'. Myria has also been appointed as independent National Rapporteur on Trafficking for Belgium. The report focus on the theme of human trafficking for the purpose of exploitation of begging - a unknown but real form of exploitation. Therefore the report analyses recent developments in the legal and political framework, it gives a case law overview and informs about case studies, experiences and best practices, key figures and recommendations.
