A report by the Vietnamese NGO Blue Dragon provides information on the factors that promote human trafficking in Vietnam. The organisation has been active in Vietnam since 2003 and has set itself the task of caring for trafficked persons, especially children. In addition to cooperating with security authorities in Vietnam and Germany, the NGO advises the Vietnamese government on drafting Vietnamese law to protect children. The report evaluates data from a total of 1,633 persons who were assisted by the organisation between 2005 and 2021. The report focuses on Vietnam and its neighbouring countries, but also briefly refers to Germany.
