The anniversary was celebrated in November 2024 at a conference in Berlin together with member organizations, partners, and supporters. Documentation of the anniversary, including photos, videos, and interviews, is available here.

In October 2024, the German Institute for Human Rights' Reporting Unit on Human Trafficking published its first report. The report outlines developments since 2020 and assesses the measures taken by the federal and state governments. The German Coalition for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (KOK) contributed findings from civil society data collection. In addition, the KOK's 2024 data report was published, revealing that many of the goals set out in the coalition agreement remain unfulfilled.

Nevertheless, there were positive developments: Since January 2024, the Social Compensation Law (SGB XIV) has facilitated access to compensation claims for victims of human trafficking. A practical guide for specialist counseling centers was developed jointly with bff and BKSF. At the EU level, the reform of the directive on combating human trafficking was completed. Recommendations for national implementation can be found in the KOK Information Service.

The tightening of asylum law through the CEAS reform, which inadequately considers vulnerable individuals, is a cause for concern. In light of a polarized discourse and a shift to the right, the KOK remains determined to defend human rights.
