The year 2020 was marked by contact restrictions and multiple deteriorations in living conditions as a result of the Corona pandemic, which also increased the risks of ending up in exploitative situations. Nevertheless, the specialised counselling centres managed to develop solutions with flexible and creative commitment and to continue to support trafficked persons and clients.
The work of the specialised counselling centres is also the focus of two products published by the KOK in 2020.
The KOK knowledge compendium Human Trafficking in Germany - Rights and Protection for Trafficked Persons was presented on World Anti-Trafficking Day. In October, Defining the gap: Data collection on human trafficking and exploitation in Germany - the KOK's civil society approach was published.
The annual review is available for download (PDF) in German and English.
