INTERPRETATION

After the revision of the EU Anti-Trafficking Directive was completed this year, it is now up to Member States to implement new requirements and changes. The German Federal Government is also drawing up its very first National Anti-Trafficking Action Plan. Many policy areas have an impact on how trafficking is prevented, how affected individuals are supported and how those individuals can enforce their rights in Germany. Discussion forums will provide us with an opportunity to discuss with experts from a number of different fields the effect of migration, digitalisation and social policies on these issues, focusing on the role of the civil society.
