KOK Statement on the Non-Punishment Clause to the UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings

KOK submitted a submission for the upcoming report of the UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings, Siobhán Mullally, on the implementation of non-punishment in the context of trafficking. The report states that there is a need for further implementation of the so-called non-punishment principle in the German Code of Criminal Procedure. Further measures must also be taken to ensure that the non-punishment principle is applied in practice. KOK calls for the development of guidelines and training courses for prosecutors and other relevant actors on non-punishment in the context of trafficking in human beings.
