The LSI NGO Platform and GAATW-Europe together submitted a contribution on the on the written consultation requested by the European Commission in preparation of the Post-2016 EU Strategy on the Eradication of Trafficking in Human Beings.
It identifies the following three topics that should be treated as a priority within the next anti-trafficking strategy:
- Identification, protection and assistance to trafficked persons
Including unconditional access to assistance and access to residence permits,
- Access to justice
Including free legal assistance, access to compensation
- Addressing demand that fosters all forms ofhuman trafficking
Including accountability of the private sector.
